#TAS26 Preview: Redesigning Ticketing Work for the AI Era
The next transformation in ticketing will not be delivered by technology alone.
Across ticketing operations, marketing, CRM, customer service and digital commerce, AI and automation are changing how work is organised, which tasks require human judgement and the capabilities teams will need next.
The challenge for leaders is no longer simply choosing tools. It is redesigning roles, workflows and culture so that people and technology create greater value together.
At TheTicketingBusiness ASIA 2026, Su Jella, Executive and Advisor at Nano Insights, will lead a new interactive session, Future of Work: Sport, Entertainment and Ticketing.
Currently scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, 14 October (Day 2), the pre-registered breakout will bring together participants from across ticketing, live entertainment and venue operations.
“The future of work is no longer just a physical location; it’s a dynamic, digital-first mindset.”
Su Jella
What will the session explore?
The discussion will examine how organisations can:
- Lead teams in which human expertise is augmented by AI.
- Use automation to remove repetitive work and release capacity for higher-value activity.
- Move beyond basic remote work through flexible schedules and asynchronous collaboration.
- Turn generational differences into a source of knowledge-sharing and human-led innovation.
- Support employee wellbeing, continuous development and long-term career evolution.
Redesigning work across ticketing
For ticketing organisations, the implications extend far beyond IT. When repetitive work is automated, teams must decide which decisions can be delegated to technology, where human oversight remains essential and how released capacity can be redirected towards better service, stronger commercial outcomes and more valuable customer relationships.
Flexible working also has a ticketing-specific edge. Demand peaks do not follow conventional office hours, onsales are increasingly cross-border, and teams collaborate across promoters, venues, platforms and partners.
The session will consider how flexible schedules and asynchronous working can support that reality without weakening accountability or connection.
Bringing different generations together
The breakout is designed to include a mix of generations. This will give established leaders, emerging professionals and technology specialists an opportunity to compare expectations, challenge assumptions and identify the skills their organisations will need next.
