#TAS26 Preview: The New Gatekeeper of Ticketing in the Age of AI

Turning AI-driven traffic into fair access and customer loyalty

Turning AI-driven traffic into fair access and customer loyalty

In one Queue-it case study, an onsale attracted 3.3 million requests.

Just 138,000, or 4%, came from legitimate, trusted visitors. More than 3.2 million requests from bots and uninvited users were denied access.

For ticketing leaders, the challenge is no longer whether systems can withstand peak demand. It is deciding who or what gets through.

Today we announce Jesper Essendrop, CEO of Queue-it, as the latest speaker confirmed for TheTicketingBusiness ASIA 2026.

His session, currently titled The New Gatekeeper of the Internet in the Age of AI: Online Traffic Orchestration (OTO), will explore how AI-driven traffic is reshaping the digital landscape and changing how ticketing businesses manage access.

For years, the distinction appeared straightforward: humans represented legitimate customers, while bots were seen as unwanted traffic. Agentic AI is now breaking that divide.

An AI agent may act on behalf of a genuine customer. The same technology can also enable bad actors to generate faster, more sophisticated automated traffic.

The conversation is therefore shifting from bots versus humans to good intent versus bad intent.

Jesper will examine how Online Traffic Orchestration (OTO) provides the real-time control layer between users and systems. By assessing identity, intent and context, organisations can determine how traffic should be routed and managed according to capacity, security and commercial priorities.

Online Traffic Orchestration managing agentic, human and bad bot traffic through access, protection and monitoring controls.
Online Traffic Orchestration evaluates agentic, human and malicious traffic to support fair access, protect capacity and manage high-demand onsales.

For ticketing operators, this means ensuring agents and humans compete on equal terms during high-demand events, controlling how traffic reaches inventory and payment systems, and ensuring valuable capacity is not consumed by requests that deliver little business value.

Trust directly affects customer loyalty, brand reputation and commercial performance. When an onsale feels unfair or unreliable, the impact extends beyond the transaction and can weaken relationships with fans, artists, venues and promoters.

At #TAS26, Jesper will explore how ticketing businesses can prepare for this next generation of online demand, better identify user intent and use orchestration to deliver reliable, fair and transparent customer experiences.

Jesper brings more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry. He has served as CEO of two SaaS companies and held CIO, sales and business development leadership roles within a large-scale data centre organisation, driving growth, innovation and lasting customer relationships.

Join Jesper Essendrop, together with hundreds of ticketing, eCommerce and live entertainment leaders from across the region, at TheTicketingBusiness ASIA 2026 in Hong Kong, 13–15 October 2026.
